Who manages CAIMED
CAIMED is jointly managed by the United Nations Department
of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and FORMEZ - Study
and Training Centre and it offers a common service. The
Director of the Centre and its members respond to a Steering
Committee, which is composed of one member of UNDESA, one
member of the Department of Public Administration of the
Government of Italy; the Director of FORMEZ, Mr. Carlo Levebvre.
What are the Financial
Agreements of CAIMED
According to the above-mentioned Memorandum of Understanding,
UNDESA and FORMEZ finance their own inputs for the implementation
of joint FORMEZ and UNDESA activities approved under the
scope of the MOU.
What are the Responsibilities
of Collaborating Agencies of CAIMED
The inputs to be provided by FORMEZ include:
a) Director of the Centre;
b) One expert;
c) Building facilities;
d) Logistical and administrative support;
e) Support to the implementation of the agreed joint activities
under this MOU in close collaboration with UNDESA;
f) Fund raising for grants.
The inputs to be provided by the UNDESA include:
a) One expert;
b) One associate expert;
c) Technical advisory services and support, substantive
backstopping and monitoring for the Centre;
d) Support to the implementation of the agreed joint activities
under this MOU in close collaboration with FORMEZ;
e) Development of training materials;
f) Networking and outreach in mobilizing support for international
and local cooperation, including South-South cooperation.
